Humagalas || Harford County Restaurant

This place seems pretty cool. Thursday night trivia was fun. It was packed! The prices were so good. I didn't like my margarita it was too much margarita mix and not much tequila. I guess you get what you get for $4 but it did not taste good. The wine was good but you couldn't go wrong with that. I got a taco and that was pretty good. The server/bartender was friendly and attentive. I want to go back and try the pizza. It seemed pretty popular as I saw a lot people getting pizza. Overall, pretty good I will try again but won't get a margarita.

The wife and I went for a quick bite for dinner and just wanted to check this place out. Normal sports bar food and fanfare with ok service. While the burgers were good they were highly overpriced and the actual hamburger pattie was just a small clump of meat. The hamburger bread was so much larger than the meat itself and we both had a lot of leftover bread. Beer was good but we’re not going there for food again.

This was our first visit and the place was packed. We were seated quickly and were waited on promptly. The atmosphere is very cozy. The food was delicious and prepared as ordered. My only complaint is that or food was brought to us 3 minutes after our appetizers. So we had a table full of food. We waited to order our burgers so this wouldn't happen; but, sadly it did. Otherwise the service, our food and our first visit were exceptional.

Not a fan. Decor is TOO rustic. They served my food on a metal baking tray. I would have preferred a plate. Plastic cups when I'm paying for an $18 burger. The amount of flies in this restaurant is insane. They were crawling all over me and my food while I was trying to eat. My mom ordered an ice tea- the tea was so weak it was basically water we had to send it back. My mom's chicken sandwich was dry. My burger was a wagyu and it was cooked the way I asked but the burger was literally half the size of the bun they served it on?? Either get smaller buns or make your burger bigger. The burger I got had brie on it which I thought would be good with the caramelized onions but the onions weren't sweet enough to cut the brie and it was overall bitter. Our waitress was very nice, but our food took 35 minutes when we were 2 of 6 people in the restaurant. $5 for a side salad and it was our only side ??? They don't comp it even a little. Not worth the price. They have a cool outside area that would be fun if you weren't eating their food or ice tea.

The whole visit was weird. We came in the back way and walked through a children's play area where a handful of children were running around playing while their parents drank at a table about 8 feet away from the swing set. One of the children (about 3) picked up a piece of pizza off the ground and started eating it. One woman was holding a toddler and drinking a pint at the same time. It was just a really weird start to the visit. Our server was great. He was really friendly and made good recommendations. I don't like burgers and they have a very limited chicken selection, but our server told us that any burger can be made with chicken instead. I wanted a chicken sandwich with ranch, American cheese, lettuce, plain bun... but it was too much trouble to try and find the closest choice and customize. I thought everyone had some type of chicken ranch sandwich these days. We started with the queso fries. They were really good, although my husband believes the queso was actually just melted Kraft cheese slices. He got the sliders, I got the nachos and a side of Mac and cheese. Sliders were overcooked and crunchy. Mac and cheese was bland. The nachos were decent, although it was painfully obvious that they gave us a scoop of pulled chicken. That means that they have a tub of pulled chicken prepared for this. That isn't fresh and I didn't eat any of it. Luckily, it was a scoop and was only on one part of the plate so it was easy to eat around. Drinks were fantastic. I don't like whiskey but love peanutbutter, and I would definately get that PB cup martini again. Unfortunately, I don't think we will be back.
